Using Journey Based Outcomes to Embrace Growth

In the My Purpose framework, which uses Goals, Objectives, Strategies, and Actions, we typically think of objectives as markers along the way towards our goals. It seems natural to set objectives that are a percentage towards what we think is the final outcome, which is really another objective on our way towards living into our goals. These objectives are called outcome-based objectives, and focus on results.

Writing Prompt – What are you Ignoring?

Writing Prompt – What do you want?

As we’ve started our new course of study in 2021, we find ourselves reading James 1:5 which states, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” This verse uses “men” to mean “mankind.” Although still patriarchal in nature, this scripture is meant for all people. If anybody lacks wisdom, let them ask and it shall be given them.

Bearing a Powerful Witness

This week in Come, Follow Me we studied and read about Ammon, and his interaction with the sons of Mosiah and King Lamoni. The reading starts with Alma running into the sons of Mosiah as they traveled to the land of Zarahemla. Basically, it had been 14 years, they were out in the wilderness, and had struggled as they had been prompted to teach the Lamanites. That’s when they ran into each other, all headed to teach the Lamanites. The readings then focus on Ammon. There are several things to take away from this week’s lesson, but let’s focus on Ammon’s story.
