Writing Prompt – What do you want?

As we’ve started our new course of study in 2021, we find ourselves reading James 1:5 which states, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” This verse uses “men” to mean “mankind.” Although still patriarchal in nature, this scripture is meant for all people. If anybody lacks wisdom, let them ask and it shall be given them.

If you’re looking for some writing prompt inspiration this week, try answering the question, “What do you want?” Give that question some time this week. Ask yourself what you want, and even more importantly – what do you want to give? What do you have to give, and where can you make an impact? Often times understanding our own strengths helps us to understand what we have to offer others, and helps us to ultimately understand what we really, truly want.

Give this question some thought this week, and see what insight you gain.
